It was a game of the first generation of consoles released by Atari, Nolan Bushnell created by and released on November 29, 1972. Pong is based on the sport of table tennis (or ping pong). The word is a registered Pong by Atari Interactive, while the generic word "pong" is used to describe the genre of video games "bat and ball" brand. The popularity of Pong resulted in a patent infringement lawsuit and won by manufacturers Magnavox Odyssey, which had a sim game
